New: The Foundation Directory Part 3

Dear Cooperating Collection Supervisor:

Coming your way shortly is this new two-volume publication. It replaces the former Guide to U.S. Foundations, Their Trustees, Officers, and Donors (affectionately know as GUS), which had grown to four volumes and was becoming very unwieldy on library shelves. This is a companion set to The Foundation Directory and The Foundation Directory Part 2; so it does not contain the approximately 20,000 grantmaking foundations in those two books. Hence it is smaller and easier to deal with in a library setting.

Good news for your users is that The Foundation Directory Part 3 also contains expanded data that was not included in GUS on more than 46,000 organizations, such as fields of interest, types of support, giving limitations, application information, selected grants, and a master index of nearly 200,000 trustees, officers, and donors. The one index you will not find here is one that cuts across all three Foundation Directories. For that you will need to refer to each publication separately.
